The Salaah of the Companions

“Once the non-Muslims of Makkah contemplated upon what would be the best time to attack the Sahabah. During their discussion they found that at certain times during the day the Sahabah would be seen performing a certain action. During this action the non-Muslims noted that the Sahabah seemed to experience more enjoyment then they would when drinking alcohol. Thus the non-Muslims of Makkah thought this would be the ideal occasion to attack.

The action the non-Muslims were referring to was Salaah. Imagine the non-Muslims came to this conclusion that the Sahabah were experiencing pleasure just by looking at their external state. So imagine what pleasure the Sahabah must have been experiencing internally.”
